I purchased this Vintage Crewel Embroidery but didn't want to hang it in any old ordinary frame.
I just imagined the hours it took for someone to do this & was just in aww of its beauty.
So as I was browsing through my 'stash' in my garage I came across this old window frame that was the perfect size.
I used my DeWalt sander and sanded back the layers of paint to reveal many beautiful colors that matched the embroidery.

*Use proper caution when sanding old windows as most of them contain lead paint.
I didn't touch the hardware on the windows as I love the texture & patina.
I sealed the window and attached the embroidery to the back of the window.
Match made in heaven!
It now hangs in my 1/2 bath.
Where everyone can appreciate its beauty.
