Summer Bead Project

I was asked to join a few creative bloggers in a challenge for the summer.
We had to create something with this box of beautiful beads from hobby lobby.

At first I couldn't figure out what to do with them, but then we started talking about cleaning up our screened in porch and re-doing the floor etc...
So I thought they would make pretty decorative coasters. All I did was glue them in a nice pattern on these plain cork coasters.
I used white glue starting on the outside and working in.
However, setting the beads in a pattern nice and tight was a little hard to I figured out this trick. Maybe you already know this one. Anyway, I used a long hat pin and placed the beads on their first, then I placed the tip of the pin on the coaster where the next set of beads needed to be and slide them off. Worked like a charm.
Adding a little color and bead-dazzle for the summer.

Your coasters add a touch of class and color to any gathering! I will definitely follow your tutorial because stringing beads takes WAY too long and I just don't have the patience!!
