Mr. Elfsnail's Garden

For the last three summers my grandson and I have created a small Mini Garden using a old rusty broken wagon. It's our new annual traditional that we both look forward to each Spring.
Our Garden had never had an official resident so this year we added Mr. Elfsnail.
To my grandson, Mr. Elfsnail is an elf not a gnome and he's holding a snail. So..."Elfsnail!"
We started our garden a few years ago using the top of this rusty broken wagon. There are so many other unique items that you could use as the base for a small garden.
We added a small water feature by using a small black bowl left over from a microwave desert.
Now that he's five and a very confident gardener.... he didn't need much help putting the plants in the dirt.
After the fence and the plants were in place the "plan" was to create a small path from the garden gate to the new wishing well using crushed shells.
Because more is always better. More CRUSHED SHELLS! It looked a little more like a beach.
Another new addition this year was the frogs. He created a privacy fence using craft sticks and glue. N hearts S. (that makes me smile)
He had so much fun adding water and making sure the wishing well worked. He loves playing in it too.
