The Cottage We Call Home: A Home Tour

It was the week before school started and we ( my team of Kindergarten teachers and myself) were on a break during teacher inservice. Of course, we spent our time and money in the Dollar Store getting things for our classrooms.
As we were leaving, I heard one of the checkers tell another teacher, "I always thought my teachers lived at the school." Amazingly, so many students really do think that. I would often get asked, "Mrs. Hines, where do you go after school?" Home, I would answer.
With the wide-eyed wonder that children possess, they would ask, "You have a home!? With your mom and dad?" I told them I had a home of my own with my husband and our daughter. "You have a husband, Mrs. Hines?! What's his name?" And the conversation would go on for as long as I let it.
Well, friends, Mrs. Hines has a house, and I'd love you to show you around. :)

Living Room: I like to mix antiques with modern with rustic.
One of my favorite settings in the living room. This slipper chair was a steal at Marshall's HomeGoods.
Summer Mantel in the Living Room...I love greens and blues together.
