Organize Your Beach Bag in Style With a Beaded Sunglass Holder

5 Materials
Has the sunny weather got you digging around in your bag for your sunglasses? Try this easy beading project to keep them close at hand and dress up your beach bag or purse!
This project only takes a few minutes and a few beads, along with a clasp and a key ring. First, cut your string or wire to a length of 24 inches.
Thread the wire through the loop on the lobster claw clasp. Double the wire, so the clasp is at the end. You will thread the beads on both ends of the wire at the same time. (If you're using string, thread both ends through a needle.)
Start threading your beads in any pattern you like. The clasp will keep them from falling off the end.
Stop beading when you have about two inches left. Add the key ring loop on only one of the wires.
Tie the wires around the key ring, using crimping beads and pliers. If you are using string, simply tie a double knot in the string. Re-thread the wires back through as many beads as you can before you run out of wire.
Bonus: Add a fun tassel to your key ring! Check out the full blog post for how to make quick and easy tassels.
Now you have a chain with a key ring on one end, and a clasp on the other. You simply wrap the chain around your bag handle and grab the key ring with the clasp to complete the circle.
Hang your sunglasses by sticking one of the earpieces through the key ring. Or you can hang anything else that has a hole in the end, such as a sample sized suncreen or chapstick.
Now you have a useful decoration for your bag!
