DIY Standing Desk

Have you considered a standing desk, but can't afford it? Try this DIY standing desk for less than $50.
My son recently moved into a new space. He didn't want to spend $200 on a standing desk and figured this cheap option!

With this custom setup, he controls how high or low his screen is and most importantly how far away he is from the screen.
ITEMS NEEDED

1. Wall Shelf ($7)

Wall shelf 12 in. x 24 in.

2. Brackets ($7)

Rubbermaid Black Arch Steel Brackets 6 in. x 8 in.

(Mount each bracket into a stud if possible. You want this to be secure.)

3. Four Tier Shelf for keyboard and miscellaneous ( $28)

Four tier shelf 43.7 “ high. You may need a different height. Forearms should be parallel to the floor.

I pull the shelf out when I’m on the computer, and push it back under the shelf when I’m done.

If you have a printer you can buy a simple side table for less than $20.
