I would get rid of the whole thing. It is ugly, and not even finished. I would get a pallet, and make stairs with the wood, which makes it easier to add railings. You could make "little" tables from wood : First one, just under the door: a platform of 80 x 80 cm so you can stand on it and open de door without falling off, and a second"little table" one step lower. Screw the legs of those "platforms" together and you have stairs. Now you have something to attach railings to. Be sure to attach everything to the wall. Underneath you could fill up with those grey buildingstones to give it enough strenght.

If those are stone tiles underneath and on top, why not cut a few down to cover the front and sides for a more polished look?

I would just add some type of railings on both sides down to the end of the larger tiles something to bring it all together. Also add some small evergreens, potted on both sides. You just have to brighten it all up. 😊

Don't look like outdoor tiles, what can break easily and leave sharp edges...also not high enough...spacing not good.. Plants on good size pots in both sides could help to distract view.. Hope you find a better advice

I agree that these are interior tiles. Too shallow and probably slippery. most certainly not "code". They have to be removed, which should be fairly simple. Drop a hammer on them.

Not being handy, I would take these photos and the dimensions for two steps., which you need for the correct rise. Then go to "Thumbtack.com" and get some bids for using some sort of stone, or cement, to make these work safely and attractive. Include your desire for railing ( wood, aluminum, vinyl, iron?).

You can easily say No, but at least you'll have an idea what the cost will be to have it done professionally as well as picking their brains for most cost-effective and easiest solution. I've used them -or not- several times and we've been pleased with the local contractors.

I' d lenthen and widen and deepen the porch. Scratch what's there, and make a nice concrete porch,or wooden. You can make a mold for the concrete follow a DIY utube video.

I think Lorain has the right idea. Just make sure the top stoop is level with the door jam, not below it. Even if you have to make two large landing type stairs because you may not have the height for regulation steps, that's ok.
