What part of the country are you located @Stephanie ? Can you share a little more information on where you plant them (sun, shade, dry, wet)?

LOCATED IN ZONE 9-LA PLACED THEM IN FULL SUN....MY GARDEN IS MADE UP PART SAND AND DIRT...I HAVE ALSO TRIED TO ADD TOP SOIL BUT LAVENDERS JUST TURN BLACK AND DIE

It's very hard to grow lavender in Florida because of the humidity, and I suspect you face the same challenge in Louisiana, Stephanie.
