July 4th Center Piece

A fun and easy Fourth of July center piece craft. Gather the kids, a crate, Styrofoam shapes, letters, foam sheets, stars, and tinsel for a fun 4th of July craft that takes very little time to make.
I spray painted the crate with two coats of white spray paint letting it dry between coats. I put it aside to dry good while I made the fireworks.
I used the foam sheets to basically wrap each shape like a present. Cutting the corners on some instead of folding like you would do the end of a present. I used straight pins here and there to keep anything from coming loose.
I poked holes in the top of each wrapped shape, and cut pieces of bendable rope for the fuse. I glued it in the holes along with the tinsel. I added stick on stars.
I added the stick on letters and stars to the crate. Then I added some tissue paper wrapped Styrofoam to the inside of the crate. I added tinsel around the edges inside. I also added stars to the fireworks.
I also made sparklers with more bendable rope and tinsel by gluing and wrapping the tinsel around and securing it with more glue.
I used glue squares to secure the fireworks inside the crate, and I poked a hole in the Styrofoam and glued in the sparklers. I added more tinsel around the fireworks inside the crate. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Fourth of July! :)
