You could take out the back of the frame, attach some wires across and hang several pictures with clothes line pins from the wire. Or maybe replace the back with some old wood slats and spray paint something with a stencil. LOVE-PEACE-BEACH.

Paint the frame a color that coordinates with your bathroom then paint the glass with chalkboard paint. Add a saying or have guests sign it.

Well, I'm an historian and antique buff. I don't know the decor of your beach house nor am I sure how much work you wish to do on this frame but... Victorians used to take small shells and cover frames and boxes with them (wiith a highly caustic glue. You're lucky. You have a glue gun) It's always a beautiful presentation when I see one of these. I would do that for a beach house if I had one. Or paint the frame a 'beachy' color (light blue, light coral, yellow, even a gold wash on these colors) make a shadow box behind the frame (4 pieces of wood attached together like a canvas stretcher) and put really nice sea shells inside of the frame. Hot gluing is easy. Here on Lake Superior, beautiful rocks are our thing.

I live at the beach and we are always collecting shells, clean up frame and simply arrange some shells around the frame. I also glued some sand down first and shells on top of sand.......great beachy idea.

Gluing shells on the outside But....How about using sand to frame the inside of the frame about 1 " or so and put a cluster of family beach pictures in it?

You might consider doing a bit of research on how this beach house looked each era, if it is older. Pictures of it in each era with a date underneath, as well as pictures of your family taken each year would make a great collage in this frame. Just hang it in the entry to be the first view when you entertain friends there. It will certainly get the party going very quickly!

Use the entire frame, but only attach the cording to macrame a net. Or attach a pre made net, and hang sea shells, etc, from it. Starfish shell, etc. Or macrame, braid or weave a net like or basket like structure and add hanging hardware to attach as a chandelier to one of the lights inside or outside. If outside, be sure wood is sealed well, and cording or rope used is weather proof or resistant.

Use chicken wire inside the frame and tiny clothespins, available in craft stores, to clip photos or any momento to the wire. They look very cute hung on the wall.
