How do you get rid of broad leaf grass or is it a weed?

Our lawn has a broad leaf weed. It's starting to take over the front yard. Doesn't look too bad when the grass is mowed. Once it's overgrown it looks really terrible.

White vinegar. Apply it twice a day for a couple of days, making sure to saturate the center of the plant. I use this to kill weeds around the fences and edging around the flower beds...just have to be careful and not kill grass or flowers. <3's great for that grass that grows in the cracks of concrete too. xoxo

It's hard to use a non-selective herbicide like vinegar in a lawn situation. You need to identify the weed and then select a broad-leaf herbicide that is appropriate for your type of turf.
