The leaves & flowers do not look like a gardenia

I promise you it is a gardenia, ever since I got it about 5 years ago, it has been beautiful. Last year, we had a wedding at my home & it was gorgeous and so fragrant, that is why I am so disturbed. Three bushes exactly the same

It looks like a Gardenia radicans, (creeping gardenia) leaves are more narrow and flowers are sometimes smaller.

There are different type of Gardenia's with different types of leaves, it is as simple as that. This is just a different name of the very common Gardenia. We have them here as well.
