Apothecary Seashell Jars With Free Printable

Going on a summer vacation to the beach? Chances are you might come home with a collection of shells you may be wondering what to do with. Do I have a free and easy project for you!
I've been collecting shells for many years and I am always see people hunting for the pristine, hard to find shells. I find there is so much beauty in the common shell. You know, the ones you step on to get down to the beach.
So this year I decided to display our collection of shells in DIY apothecary jars. Even the little common shells can display their real beauty when they are paired with shells just like them. They have more of an impact.
Upon returning home you will want to wash your shells outside with your outdoor hose. Do not wash shells in your kitchen sink because the sand can damage your garbage disposal. Once they are washed, set them in the sun to dry. This will diminish some of the smelliness.
I used left over pickle, jelly, honey, and salsa jars to create my collection. I washed them and removed the labels. Then I painted the lids black. After putting in the shells I attached the apothecary label and added some twine and ribbon to some of them.
