A Romantic Vanity Dresser

Colour and the appropriate accents can make a piece of furniture so different!
I received this vanity dresser. It was in very good conditions but I found it unattractive for a young bedroom. It didnt have carvings or appliques. So I had to add some interest to it.
I started by painting the whole piece old white. But then, instead of using paint, I used coloured wax in a "Dior pink " colour.I didnt want a solid colour but shadows and lights making a more modulated surface.
Here is the body finished.
And now the doors, which I want to make de center of attention of the dresser. I had two woden ovals cut at the craft store . Painted doors old white.
From the site "The graphics fairy", I downloaded an appropriate frame design, and transferred to the actual doors.
Outlined with a liner and acrylics
Chose a romantic painting to decoupage on the wooden ovals. In this case Fragonard, "The swing". Glued it to the doors and added some matching colours to the frame.
Doors ready!
Golden wax on the edges
And new vanity dresser!
Before and after. A great change!

Where did you find the colored wax? That really added to the beauty of the piece!
