What can I do with all these?

At a yard sale a few weeks ago, I asked if we could take some of the many pallets at the end of the driveway. The owner told us to take anything we wanted and under the pallets were all of these. I went back and asked if she knew they were down there - just said to go ahead and take them. 4 boxes later I have nearly $1,000 retail of wooden "M",N, A, O and lower case R. They still have the prices on them from Hobby Lobby but I have no idea what to do with them - do you?

Do an inspirational poster or even a bi-fold/tri-fold partition, with words that start with N. Nothing will stop me/Never Give up/Nature is wonderful. Use the wooden "N" and handprint the rest. Make it colorful for just black and white.

Wow, this one stretches the imagination! There's really only a couple of words you can make with these! I'm wondering if your local craft shop will not be willing to exchange some of them for other letters, like the initials of your family members. Then use these as the base for some really funky mosaic to hang in their bedrooms (kids), or make up words like Faith, Hope, Love and mosaic them as well for a patio wall. It's not really possible to accurately guess the size of the letters but they do look a reasonable size? Love the twirls! Hope you will post again when you have used them?

These are great ideas! I do love the "O" in all it's swirliness! Luckily, the name of our business is Okie Picks - so I have the great O to start with. I would have never thought of taking them back for exchange @Rita Botha - of course explaining that I got them for free but someone must have purchased them. Maybe they will agree! If I can find someone who can print well @Theresa Shaut I would love to print the word on them as well - My printing is awful! Thanks for coming up with such great ideas!

The first thing that I thought when I saw this was you have some good words for scrabble or words with friends. So with all your doubles you are bound to have many words here. http://www.scrabblefinder.com brings you to a nice site where you can find words with letters. If you put in double letters you will find more words. manor came up right away! Make word art! Or if you really aren't into that try selling the box with the ideas people give you as examples. Lots of money in art supplies. This is a pretty good free box deal!

Just a hint, you can also put in ? (question marks) as a letter and make sure you double the letter if you want more than one of the same it will give you different results....example: if I wrote difrent, i would not get the word different I would have to write dffeernt to get the word different to show up...Enjoy!

I would save them your kids' teachers/ art teacher when school starts, or spraypaint them a favorite color, andarrange them(in a clever phrase or poem or something), and glue to a piece of plywood, painted a contrasting or complimentary color.Tell us what you end up doing!

A few of the N's could be turned sideways and used as Z's, as in Z Z Z Z for sleep. Maybe in a child's room.

Some of the N's could be half cut into capital V's, M's become W's, and so on..the possibilities are endless! There are also picture frames of people that start with N,M,O,V, or W and customize their frames for yourself or as gifts!

Find an old frame and put some kind of sturdy backboard on it...and then just start layered the letters! Paint them or not! I saw them n my creative mind's eye ;o) as: layered shabby chic painted letters in an old decorative frame! No words needed...just the letters! o) Dang...now I want to do it! o)

@Therese C I forgot about the 200 A's! @Debi T - I'm sure I will - I honestly don't have the crafting ability or inclination to deal with this many letters and they will just go to waste sitting in a box. There are a few projects I've seen from these suggestions (that I will post when done) but I'm better at big stuff than little and to me, this is little! :) I will email you next weekend after I've had a chance to take out what I want. I don't think I'll forget but if I do - just post again on this page!

Paint those pretty curly O's then hook them together and make a garland for an out door tree if it gets cold enough where you are that they won't get wet and ruined in the winter. The O's would also make adorable ornaments with tassels hung from the bottoms. Even cute picture frames. The N's turned on their sides become short Z's which could be hung on a wall above a baby's or child's bed as a decoration.

I cut letters on a jig saw. They are so simple. Patterns are available on anything one would like to make. "Welcome" is probably the most popular. I would suggest that you decide on what craft project you are interested in and buy the other letters from a "Hobby Lobby." Or get a pattern and cut them out yourself.

@Therese C that is an incredible drawing - and I love the idea!! Do you know who would love it even more than me and also needs one? My mother! She lives in Senior Cottages and her and her porch mate and best friend spend nearly every evening on the porch but sometimes, they want a privacy screen and they could channel their climbing flowers up it! Just fabulous @Therese C I will show this to my husband tonight!

I would modge podge some old maps, comics, magazines, thin pretty fabrics, paint, etc on the letters, and sell them individually on Craigslist or some local online ad. You could make some good coin if you are good with crafting. Modge Podge will be like an adhesive and finish all in one. I plan on purchasing some wood and large cardboard letters at my nearest craft store in the near future to make some pretty initials for my granddaughter 's bedroom, and a couple large ones too for myself. Initials are really in right now, and if you are crafty, you will have no problem making a small fortune.

yes Mod podge is fantastic. I have not used it for crafts/projects for a couple of years, but plan on doing some initials sometime in the New Year. I would do an ad when you have done a couple, and specify in capital letters that you ONLY have the letters M N A O. Watch even though you specified certain letters, people will be asking you for all kinds of other letters. If you are good at it, I would go out and purchase some more. The price you will pay for additional letters won't be much, and you will recover your money back with the price you sell your finished letters for and then some. Hope you make a little fortune. Actually I might even do the same thing myself if mine turn out. I have been wanting to buy a large hollow card board letter and cover it with pennies and then podge it. I have seen some letters done this way and they look fantastic.

Here is a Picture of a Wooden Letter that I customized for my grand daughter, Stella. I painted it the colors of her room, then added vintage buttons, silk flowers and I distressed the edges with a silver distress ink. It gave the letter a vintage look. Just an Idea!
