Cannot detach hose from faucet

Question

I cannot unscrew outdoor hose from faucet. It's really stuck. I've tried pliers, wrench and a blow torch!

Oops, that's not good.  The blow torch probably damaged the gaskets inside the faucet. You can try vineger. Cut the hose off just below the connection and put about a 3/4 cup of white vineger in a plastic bag and tape it over the faucet so that the faucet is in the vinegar and just leave it for a few days.  Remove the bag and then grip the stuck bit with a vice grip and give it a small, teeny, tiny turn anti-clockwise and then a huge turn clockwise to loosen. Hope it helps.

I would try spraying it liberally with WD40 and let it soak for a while. The try the pliers again.

Try WD40.  Spray it around the connection so it can ooze into the space between the faucet and the connector.

Make sure the water flow is turned off, then try to tighten it a TINY bit with no water in the line.

very carefully drill into the outer casting of hose with a 1/8 inch bit.  Clamp onto the outer casting with channel locks and use a long(1 foot or so) piece of pipe that will fit onto the handle of the channel locks. Hope this helps/

You could try a plumber's pipe wrench with a 'helper' length of hard pipe  inserted on the handle to increase your leverage.  Some times turning the wrong way first will work.  Or tap it with a hammer to loosen it.

Go to a REAL hardware store.  You do NOT want WD40.  There is a product that should loosen the brass ring from faucet, if you didn't weld it in place with the torch.

Second. OR call a plumber.  Have faucet removed and replaced.

Next time put vaseline on the threads be f ore you screw on the hose

If replacing a faucet, consider getting a Ball Valve. They are SO MUCH BETTER, FASTER than those turn & turn & turn valves.  I love mine!

Try using a product called BLAST I use it on rusted bolts keep spraying the fittings for a day or so most of all be patient . If it is not cross threaded it should come loose. If it Is cross threaded, take a hacksaw and very gently cut into the hose fitting being carful not to ruin the threads on the faucet when u have cut into it try to break it with water pump pliers. good luck

Don't use PAM. It is just vegetable oil. A penetrating spray is better. Also try vise grips, but not TOO tight. You don't want to warp the faucet, if you haven't already. No vise grips? Try large channel pliers.  If nothing but pliers, try to find some hallow tube that can fit tightly around the plier grips. This will give you leverage, as does long channel pliers.

I hate when that haappens!  Maybe the old jar lid trick will help - Take a butter knife with a heavy handle and tap the edge of the handle all around  the stuck 'lid' and then try it.

I solved the problem (oxidation) with good old WD40...didn't even need the pliers.

Try WD-40, we just used it on the very same problem and it worked, took a little elbow grease but it worked.  Also, soak a paper towel in white vinegar, wrap it around the faucet and them wrap it in plastic wrap.  Let it sit overnight and it should be loose.

put olive oil on it and let it sit for a few minutes.  hold with channel locks and turn with pliers.  comes right off.
