Patriotic Wreath

For some reason I'm not huge into decorating my house with flags and red/white/blue decor when holidays that warrant those colors come around. My husband, however, really wants a flag to hang on the front of the house. So I decided to compromise. This 4th of July I got into the spirit and decided to make a wreath for the front door.
I bought a wire wreath frame, ribbon, and mini-banner and went to work. I've never worked with a wire frame before and I wasn't sure where to start. After a quick tutorial from a video I found on YouTube (link below), I was on my way!
The beginning of my wreath.
Now I'm making progress! To be honest, the going was slow for me at first. It probably took me half an hour to finish a quarter of it and I considered just wrapping the wreath with the ribbon. :-) Good thing I persisted because once I got the hang of it the rest of the wreath took me about 20 minutes.
All done with the ribbon part!
Time to string together the decorative banner. I didn't take a picture of the twine with all the little decorations on it. Once I finished the twine, I wrapped it around the wreath. Then I just put the wreath on the door!
I really like how it turned out. It's patriotic AND cute. Hope you like it!
