Have you tried spraying them with vinegar?

I'm interested in trying vinegar, but am concerned about it killing other things in the vicinity of the weeds. I've heard that it kills everything, and that you won't be able to get grass or flowers to grow wherever you've used it. Any tips for using it?

The best things you can do for weed control are to use a good hardwood mulch, and to plant lushly. To avoid overcrowding shrubs and perennials, space them properly for their mature size and interplant with annuals until they grow.

    vinegar alone does not work
