What do you do with an old lamp? Turn it into a Fruit Bowl!
This is the before & after pictures
Original Lamps
Taking the lamp apart
Rusted & Discolored
Cherubs
Cherubs painted white
Too white for the dishes I'd found
I sprayed it Ivory, It was too Ivory
To tone down the Ivory, I dusted it with a light coat of white
Gluing the cherub to base using E-6000. I let it dry to make sure it would hold
Gluing on the top with E-6000. I let it dry for about an hour.
Finished Centerpiece
I added some fresh Lemons to the Centerpiece
Then I added some Silk Leaves to the base of the lemons

On the picture where you said "Gluing on the top with E-6000. I let it dry for about an hour.", you made me think you let the E6000 glue dry for about an hour, but surely you must have meant the paint, (before gluing) because my E6000 glue says to allow it to dry 24-72 hours for dry time. This is a beautiful re-do, and gives me some good ideas for some things I have lying around "waiting to feel useful". Thanks very much, and I'm off to the ReStore to look for more! :-)

No, actually I let it dry for about an hour before moving it. It actually held all of the lemons with out tilting. But there was still some odor for about 12 hours. I'm so glad it's given you some ideas! I've got a few more that still need transformed also. Happy Creating!
