My paint job in Boca Raton, Florida was great for 5 years, maybe more (I moved away). Only problem was algae; it washed off easily. I prepped by mopping with muriatic acid.

Under the picture of the paint can above, it says "riveting".

    • Susan Snyder

Yes, the color is "Riveting". I've used that color on another project, but as outdoor paint, not as a concrete stain. It looks the same though! And very durable!

I want to do my back steps. Is there any prep work before painting, how many coats did it take?? Phyllis

    • Sharon Gidcumb
      on Aug 18, 2016

I been using it on my old back patio for years & I just use my blower to make sure it's clean. If you have any areas with fungus you may want to powerwash first. It does have to be reapplied every two to three years. But goes on even & wears even. I always need two coats. Great product.

My concrete has cracks, which I filled with a liquid concrete caulk. Would this stain make them less noticeable?

    • Jackie Byrd
      on Sep 4, 2016

Can you provide a picture? I have pencil line cracks in my carport and have been thinking about filling them. I don't know if the stain will or will not work. It probably depends on what type of caulk and stain you use.

Yes I was very inspired to do my own driveway & walkway to match & maybe even my concrete porch; only a different colour to set them apart.

    Wow!! What an upgrade!

I am a realtor and the first impression of a home when you walk up to the entrance defines the property. Blotchy, chipped concrete makes the home look older and adds an aura of disrepair. I’ve seen many paint jobs but this stain gave the beat finish I’ve seen. Thanks for sharing I’ve put that in my DIY collection to solve a common problem.
