How to clean oven racks?

Question

I have some dirty oven racks that need cleaning. I tried soaking them in a tub with amonia but that didn't work. I can't clean them outside.

the white mr clean magic eraisers      or   if you have self  cleaning oven put them in when you clean the oven

Thanks. It said to remove the racks before cleaning so I did. I started to leave them in but didn't. I'll try the Mr Clean idea. Be Blessed !

the rack from my toaster oven had a ton of hardened  oil+grease- i put it in a PLASTIC tray , covered it with 2 inches of hot water & added  about 1/4 cup of caustic soda+let it sit for a  couple of hours- make sure to wear rubber gloves goggles and have adequete ventlation-mine came out  like new-good luck

It takes paint off of some things too, powerful. Cheap. At Walmart so easy to find. Just use gloves, ventilation and keep away from children/pets.

try dishwasher powder in a plastic tub, soak for about 30 min and scrub off residue, rinse well.

For standard cleaning, use a soapy sponge and hot water to wipe the racks. For stubborn messes, soak oven racks in hot water, dish soap, and a couple scoops of baking soda. Let the racks soak in this mixture for 15 to 30 minutes before scrubbing clean with a soft sponge
