not really....I have seen some glass 'repaired' by polishing but is not a very DIY worthy project

The worst thing you can put on glass is glass - so try not to put glasses on without 'coasters' and if you put an ornament or anything on - make sure there is some 'felt' on the underside so it doesn't scratch! I have a few glass top coffee tables and dining table and this is what I always do - just a little tip for you :)

I wipe a light coat of Finish, for dishwashers, on my antique cake plates. It works great getting dull and and scratched surfaces smooth and shiny.

When I used to go to Antique shows, there was always someone there who did glass repairs. I think they used an epoxy. I never actually looked at any repaired glass, but you might check with a local antique dealer about it.

Use a cotton or soft wool cloth with a little non-abrasive toothpaste to quickly buff away scratches on glass. Rub the glass gently, moving the cloth in small circles. Continue for around ten seconds. Rinse with cold water and wipe dry. For a very stubborn scratch, you may have to repeat the process. Baking soda can also be used in this way. Make a thick paste from baking soda and water.
