What can home decor can I make with shark teeth?
I have a ton of shark teeth in awesome condition. They are all at least 1 and 1/2" . What kind of decor can I use to display them in? For a boys bathroom? Like a vase or something very creative that would go great for a boys decor. Preferably not a shadow box something very different but cute .
could you put them on a piece of wood like the kind you buy at craft stores? Find a good shape, paint it and glue the shark teeth on with E-6000 glue but to make it really special because you have lots of them could you spell out the boys names on two separate pieces of wood using the shark teeth?
I was also thinking, what if you took an embroidery hoop, the wooden kind and painted it and then glued the shark teeth inside the hoop. You could even put some good thick card stock behind it, cut it out to fit your hoop and glue that on, put each son's name on that paper. ooh, this is a fun one.
look at the hoop as if it was the mouth of the shark and add the teeth to the inner circle.
How about an indoor wind chime from a piece of driftwood with fishing line and holes drilled in the teeth to string them ?
I like the idea but I can not envision it. Do u have any pics of similar? Thank you so much.
Love the Windchime idea but drilling holes might be difficult to do. How about buying some of that fish netting from a craft store and gluing the teeth to it? Maybe add some shells, star fish, etc. Also, find some color pictures of sharks and put them on cardboard, cut them out and glue those to the netting as well. You said you had a ton of these teeth, so this could cover quite a large area and be almost like a wall mural. I have seen really nice looking plastic toys of things like dinosaurs and sea animals in some of the toy stores and craft stores, so you might look for those; that would be really interesting as well
I hope this gives some cool ideas. I don't know that there is a completely covered mosaic, but think that could be beautiful! https://www.google.com/search?q=decorate+with+shark+teeth&tbm=isch&imgil=rczueN2jo788qM%253A%253BFW98NS7pLohoOM%253Bhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.pinterest.com%25252Fpin%25252F438186238719256021%25252F&source=iu&pf=m&fir=rczueN2jo788qM%253A%252CFW98NS7pLohoOM%252C_&usg=__GA50vUMeTP37NQRKT9Lw3V53MkU%3D&biw=747&bih=392&ved=0ahUKEwj9urG-hvHNAhUs_IMKHXCPDCEQyjcILA&ei=2IWGV_3uBKz4jwTwnrKIAg#imgrc=rczueN2jo788qM%3A
I think glueing them to a piece of board to make a picture of a shark would be awesome. You could even mix media adding small beach stones, beach glass etc.
Pinterest has a whole section on decorating with shells, shark teeth, driftwood etc., things like that. Do a Google search on shark tooth windchimes and you will find lots of ideas. I do love the Windchime idea, I just didn't think drilling holes in them would be very easy to do.
Here are a couple of pictures to give you some ideas
