Restyled Credenza From Florida Casual to French Fancy

I took nice but totally wrong for my decor credenza and transformed it with paint
Before
I had this very Florida looking credenza in my basement from my Mom's house in Tampa. Being in Massachusetts it didn't fit. I even tried to sell it on Craigslist
It was a solid piece -- Thomasville -- here is a close up
During
I painted the piece with Rustoleum Chalk Paint in Charcoal. Rustoleum makes a very inexpensive good chalk paint for $11 a quart -- much cheaper than designer brands. Color selection is limited, but I wanted a basic charcoal. I dry brushed the details with a bit of General Finishes Milk Paint.
After
Added a stencil Fleur de Lis motif and waxed the body with Annie Sloan clear wax that I had left over from another project. I polyurethaned the top for durability. I am really pleased with this piece!
Love the look
It looks great in my reworked guest room -- Wall color is Baltic Gray from Benjamin Moore. Also painted a vintage mirror with the Rustoleum charcoal and dry brushed the details.
