Need help to identify this plant!

Mystery plant has grown in one of my flower beds. It's very symmetrical in shape. Every time I think a bud might be emerging, it just turns into more leaves. Surely this is a weed? Any help is appreciated!

It could be goldenrod. If it is, it will spread by sending up offshoots and will eventually take over your bed.

If it's really floppy and has clinging tendrils, could this be the aptly named gloriosa lily? In Fl it goes completely away during the winter and springs back astoundingly fast without any care except weeding out intruders.

I think it is goldenrod as well. In my zone it flowers in August. Be careful as it will take over your garden.

This is a golden rod and it is a weed. I did a lot of pulling till I made sure there were no traces or seeds and always keep an eye on small suckers.

It is a form of Bamboo, and will take over your garden and if left alone, can grow and take over yours and your neighbors yards. Get rid of it. You may have to dig deep to completely eradicate it.

A weed is just a plant out of place!! I rather like goldenrod and Queen Annes Lace and let them grow if the place they are growing in is okay. It is all up to you and how you want your garden to look

You can also do a reverse search on Google too. Take a pic of your plant and save it to your desktop. Go to Google and click on IMAGES in the upper right hand corner. Then you get a screen that looks like Google except it has a camera and a microphone. Click the camera and then "upload image." It will give you other pics of your plant and others that are similar to it as well. I've used reverse search on canning questions with Mason jars, and mystery plants that show up in my garden as well. As my computer saavy son says...if it exists, it's on the internet, if it's on the internet, Google will find it. LOL
