    I definitively thought alien when mine did the same thing! Lol!! I love my self propagating Hens with chicks!!! :-D

    Hen and Chicks do bloom- at least some do.. Mine have bloomed like this.. You may find that next summer the ones that bloomed die back.. Pull those out to keep them looking good. I have been told by several nurseries they only bloom one time per center..

      They are so much fun ! They do die out usually when they bloom, but a nice mature on should have plenty of chicks to take over.
