My hanging basket of Petunias have been holey with something eating the petals. I saw the little miniscule bugs a few days ago. Is there a cheap, DIY spray I can use to get rid of the eaters? When and How to apply? Thanks so much!

Without knowing what the bugs are, the safest suggest I can give you is to use a commercial insecticidal soap. DIY versions have not been tested for their safe use on plants and dish soaps are often too strong for plant's leaves, stripping them of essential oils and making them more vulnerable.
