DIY SUITCASE SHELVES

So I know this may be a slightly unusual project. I mean its basically suitcases cut in half to make shelves. Its definitely not a project for the faint hearted, but I got these suitcases off eBay at almost next to nothing. I deliberated for a while about what to do with them....

Inspiration struck when my husband bought home a vintage magazine from france. I saw a photo of suitcases being used as shelves. It was just a photo of 5 cases on the wall – no instructions or how to so I had to figure it out on my own!

See my full tutorial here!

I don't really have a before picture of the cases (before I cut them) but this is how one of them looked I've been known to do some outrageously creative love or hate stuff on my blog so be sure to check out my WALLPAPERED FLOOR! (Yup sounds crazy but well worth it) - click here to read all about it

HOW ABOUT USING 2 SUPER HOOKS? YOU COULD MOUNT THEM IN A LEVEL HOROZONTAL LINE USE VERTICAL HOLES TO ATTACH. THE QUALITY OF THE SIDEWALLS OF THE SUIT CASES WOULD HAVE TO BE STURDY, LIKE LEATHER. YOU MIGHT EVEN USE 3 HOOKS SINCE IT WOULD BE EASY TO PLACE THEM EXACTLY IN A LEVEL STRAIGHT LINE. I MIGHT TRY THIS IF I CAN FIND A SPACE ON MY CLUTTERED WALLS?
