A recent storm destroyed my rattan gazebo: It has a fabric roof on it

The rattan part is just bent a little, but the fabric part is what is destroyed. Any ideas to replace the roof part?

A waterproof canvas could be fitted to replace the destroyed fabric.

Something that is cheap and easy to work with are canvas painters' drop cloths. You can buy very large ones. Just measure to see how much you need. Also you can buy a water proof spray to spray both sides of the drop cloths after they are installed. I use canvas drop cloths to make many home decor items...bedspreads, curtains, bed skirts, pillows, slip covers, and etc.

i would recommend first to measure the circumference of the Gazebo. Buy a garden umbrella as it will give a center elevated look which a gazebo requires. you can then pin it from the top side on the gazebo panels which goes till the ground level to hold it tight. if you do not get the color you prefer, white will look nice or you could spray paint it.

Another option is to wash a used shower curtain liner(inside one). Cut it and glue it to a material you want to use for the top.

If you sew, you can use the old cover for a pattern for the new cover

"Bent a little" is still bent and you want that framing spot on. If it's spot welded you might be able to replace pcs. that are awry....Of course you might find an end season sale where cheap enuf to recover one too...

Same thing happened to me. We replaced the fabric with tin. Rain isn't a issue now.

You could always use cloth shower curtains. Some of the newer ones are water resistant.
