DIY Rustic Wood Pedestals!

The Husband and I brainstormed this DIY Rustic Wood Pedestal idea over coffee last weekend! I was looking for rustic elements to use in an upcoming party and these are perfect with the bonus that I can use them around the house to decorate as well!
The full tutorial is on the blog, it was a bit too much to detail here! xo
I'm in planning-mode for our big Fall Family Party and rustic risers/pedestals are part of my crazy plan! Saturday morning The Husband & I brainstormed these great DIY Rustic Wood Pedestals! I thought you might like to see them!
We used 1/2" rebar & slices of walnut from a wood stump. (we got our stump at a lumber yard but you could get one at a local tree service or even a local firewood service) cut rebar into 4 equal pieces..(full tutorial on the blog)
*Drill holes, sand your slab, *file the end of the rebar and spray paint the rebar before gluing in place...(full tutorial on the blog)
I wanted to use shiny gold foil paint (By Krylon) 0n the rebar to compliment the rustic wood slab. Opposites in design are divine :)
I used Food-Safe Mineral oil on the wood to bring out the grain and to treat it...
...the food safe mineral oil means I can use them with food...
...as well as using them to decorate! Full tutorial on All Things Heart and Home/DIY Rustic Pedestals ! Thanks for checking them out my friends xo
