Spiders and their webs everywhere

I moved to this area a year ago and spiders seem to have taken over this area. Anyone that has lived here for long is just used to it but these spiders make webs on my car, my plants. It is annoying and I don't know what to do to stop them. I don't know what kind of spider and no one has ever complained about being bitten but they are such a nuisance. I have a bakers rack on my pack patio for plants and they have weaved their webs through it too. Anyone have any ideas? We have two chihuahuas (sp) so I need to be careful what I use if spraying.

These spiders are "eating" other bugs...so they are actually helping. If they are outside I'm pretty much in the live and let live camp. Inside the house however we tackle them with a broom.
