I have seen a lot of planter chairs, mostly wood ones. I saw this chair at the Goodwill . I saw it from across the room, so I made a mad dash to collect it. Not only was it metal, but I loved all the curves that it presented.
Check out this price! $1.99
So I took my beauty home to disassemble. I just removed the 4 screws. Top off!
On hand I had this hanging moss covered basket that would work well for my craft.
The chair frame was then painted with Valspar paint/primer satin spray paint. Dry.
With my hanging basket handle /hanger removed. The bowl of the basket was placed from underneath the chair and tied together with zip ties that makes this basket very sturdy when threaded through the wire mesh that lines this basket.
After zip ties complete. The bowl of this planter/chair was lined with weed barrier to help hold all the filling and endurance of this basket/chair. Time to fill with garden favorites!
Here she is! A garden chair! Not only decorative but functional for my garden.

I bought a metal chair at a Yard Sale ($0.50) to do this (I had seen others online). The only problem is the seat is square and I am having a hard time finding something to use as a basket. Any suggestions???
