A lot of body washes have been linked in turning white washcloths grey, especially Aveeno. You can try adding hydrogen peroxide to your wash (stronger than bleach), stop using body washes if you do, buy new washcloths and stick to colored ones. I use hydrogen peroxide with all my whites. It stronger than bleach and won't harm the whites like bleach does.

I wash whites with Tide, a 1/4 cup of bleach and Mrs. Stewart's Blue. The Mrs. Stewart's bluing whitens any white fabric. I'll also pretreat with Shout or 409 depending on the type of stain. Make sure to thoroughly soak the material and scrub with the pretreatment of choice. Good luck!

I use ''Oxy Action'' either vanish or the supermarket own brand [which is made in the same factory] if the stain is bad I pre-soak then add a scoop to the wash or just add to the wash. BUT I have never found any product that keep white wash cloths unstained for any length of time, I just buy the cheapest cloths I can find and then throw away when they dis- colour or increasingly use the coloured micro fibre cloths which also have the advantage of cleaning without the use of detergents so saving money.
