Super Simple DIY Shutters

I have a friend who introduced me to another friend. Now, I guess we are all friends. Things just work that way, don’t they?
Anyway, this friend of my friend’s is a blogger over at Fun Home Things, and she recently bought herself a “she shed” for her new blogging office. And can we all just agree it’s the cutest thing ever?
So she asked for some shutters for it a long time ago and I’ve been slacking and just now got around to making them. But I don’t know why it took me so long because I had them knocked out in a couple hours. It’s always the quick projects that are so easy to put off forever, isn’t it?
The details on the build can be found in the link below.
Finally, they were ready to hang! I screwed the shutters on and it instantly added some cute cottagey, rustic character!
See how cute?! I know, right? These simple projects can have such a big impact.

Why did you not stain and seal both back and front? They will probably draw moisture and warp. They do look nice and makes the house look like a cottage.

It is a pity that the shutters couldn't have been made to be operational, rather than only decorative. Yes they do look "cute", but they might have provided some shade inside that "tiny house" workshop.

"Operational" / Working shutters would also be good for those of us in coastal areas.......hurricane season, soon.
