If you mean what order to paint, paint the ceiling first. I have always painted walls, then trim, but Dan's of Central Florida offers a pretty airtight argument on this thread for painting trim first:

But the rest is correct. Ceiling first then work your way down. If your uncomfortable on a ladder, you can purchase painting cut in trim pads that go on a pole. For the first time you use them it can be a bit tricky to use. But take your time with them and they work great. My only two tricks with these painting pads is to wipe the excess paint off so it does not run, and only go one direction with the pad. Going both ways will push paint up onto the other surface.
