Strawberries

I'm freezing whole strawberries by placing them on cooky sheet and place in freezer. Then into freezer bags. anyone ever done this?

    @Judy Willemsen Yep, for years. When you 'thaw' them they won't be great for outside a recipe (in other words they won't look like pretty fresh berries do). However they are wonderful IN recipes. xo

    They are kind of mushy but great for oatmeal, Daiquiris , to make jam , muffins etc

    Same here, I usually buy them in bulk when they are in season. Freeze and use for jams and jellies, as well as other "desert" type of items during the winter. They don't look so pretty, but they sure taste good.

    Yes, but they don't thaw out well, they get mushy. Need to use them in a recipe. I've also frozen them sliced with sugar. We also ate them frozen too as a refreshing summer treat!
