DIY Tin Bucket to Lampshade

This golf ball lamp base was hiding under a rather disproportionate lamp shade when I salvaged it out of my local thrift store. I had a friend in mind who loves to golf and wanted to the lamp a mini makeover. The lamp base was in pretty good shape, all I needed now was a new lamp shade. A tin bucket seemed just the thing.
Tin Bucket Lamp Shade
Replacing the shade with a bucket in a more proportionate size.
Using tin snips we were able to cut a hole out on the top of the bucket.
Between it's last home and the thrift store, this miss-matched shade made it's way onto that golf ball lamp base.
Removing the fabric from the miss-matched frame, and cutting off the outer section with a dremmel and disk.
Attaching the frame by folding the metal tabs around the top part.
A few coats of paint, and some vinyl lettering.
A little dry brush and sanding to age it up a bit.
Outline the letters with a thin craft brush for detail.
