I’m a big fan of two current trends in home decor: all things nautical, and pallet furniture. In this post I’ll show you how I’ve combined both into a project you can easily complete in a weekend.
Rescue 2 pallets, stamped with "HT" from the rubbish destination.
Whitewash a sheet of plywood.
Break down the pallets using any means necessary. (I used a hammer and pry bar).
Lay out the boards.
Cut the boards to size and clean up using course sandpaper and tack cloth.
Whitewash the boards, let them dry, then glue them to plywood. Let dry for 24 hours.
Suggested materials:
  • 2 pallets
  • Plywood
  • Whitewash wood stain
