Using a Milk Crate to Cut PVC and ABS Pipes.

I once had to shorten a shelving unit and didn't have a vice. So, I drug out a milk crate.
By sticking the pipe in the hand holds, some "V" shaped and some circular, you can easily cut a 2" piece of PVC or ABS pipe.

You can hold it as far forward as you can to brace it, then cut inside the crate or just outside it. I used my knee to make it super secure as I couldn't afford to have a wrong length.

This would work for wooden dowels, too!
