For YEARS, I could not find a good piece of furniture for this tiny corner in our beach cottage... and then I found this baby on the side of the road ;)
I was so excited to start this piece that I didn't even remember to take a "before picture!" And since it was so small, the painting went quick, and I was done in a matter of hours.
This is the small room that I put the desk in. I basically needed to arrange the whole room around that trundle daybed, because it's one of the only spots for guests to sleep.
After painting and waxing it, I switched out the knobs for something a bit more nautical--I also like how they pick of the color of the bed frame.
The sitting space of the desk is really narrow, and I don't currently have a chair that fits, so I used this bench... but I actually really like it there!
Since there isn't much furniture in this room, guests can use it as a sort of 'vanity', too.
The whole process was really easy, and it gave the room an instant update!
Love how it looks from this bedroom!
