My Daschund has taken to lying in the Mint patch

For some peculiar reason yesterday, Mickey our 3 year old Daschund, scrambled through the roses and trampled all over the Mint and then lay down in it and keeps wanting to go back there. Any ideas ?

It's called scent rolling. You've probably seen dogs on walks finding something disgusting, and to the horrified owner, he just rolls in it. Normal behavior for a dog to roll in something with a strong scent. My dainty little toy poodle acts like a dirty dog and loves to roll in cat poop and dead worms and bugs! There could also be another reason, that is if he has a tummy issue dogs seem to know that fresh mint helps to sooth.

Whenever I clean with a spray bleach product one of my cat goes crazy rolling on the throw carpets in the bathroom. If I have any bleach scent on my hands he rubs his face against my hands and nibbles me. It's crazy what some pets like.
