What to do with a bar stool swivel?

I took the wood bar stool apart and kept the nice sturdy swivel part from under the seat. I'm trying to think of things to make with it, particularly for a child. I know you guys will have fabulous ideas!

I've been thinking of a swivel game surface! Round or square. We play Scrabble and it gets hard to think of words when you are the one looking at the board upside down ;)

Attach it to a base slightly larger than the metal plate, and then attach a sectioned basket or tall, divided compartment crate for holding pencils, brushes, etc., up straight and tidy. (haha, actually my first thought was to make some sort of spinning seat for the kids, but I'm sure it'd be dangerous in some way, which I guess makes me an old stick in the mud).)

I would say 1 lazy susan for tools in your garage. Perhaps you could rig S hooks up to it somehow? Then for the kids....well...a seat so they can spin on it. Remember how you liked to be pushed on the merry go round till you were dizzy? I am going to duck out and hide from your wife now. :)

A guy on you tube uses this (he used boat seat swivels, but basically the same thing) to make a murphy bed. I would think any child would think a Murphy bed would be a cool addition.

Remember the 'Sit & Spins'? Could use a small round side table (cut off legs) for this (minimize splinters from fresh wood). Make a swivel chair in proportion to the size of their desk. Create a platform for under the seat and add the legs to this platform. Whatever you do, I'm sure they will love it because you made it especially for them.

Make a lazy susan for their board games (checkers, Monopoly, etc.) so that the playing board can be turned to the next player.

I would use it for a tv swivel. My flat screen sits on a long media cabinet and we are constantly turning it back and forth in order to see it in different rooms. It has scratched the surface of the cabinet. A swivel would be great.

I don't know how well it would work, but I've been working on finding a way to make my saucepans more accessible. A large lazy susan might be good for that.

Use it to make a cat tumbler, use it to turn the wheel made of wood. Cats like to play on it like a hamster inside a hamster wheel. There are ones who have made them on Youtube.
