It is blooming!

For all that wanted to see the Peruvian Scilla aka The belly button, it has started to bloom, in the pics it looks blue, but it really is a light purple with yellow center. It has to be the slowest blooming flower I have ever seen, its taken almost 3 weeks to get to this point.

This flower is absolutely gorgeous ! Can you tell me where you purchased it? Here in Vancouver, Washington the common Scilla grows quite prolifically. Can you tell me if the Peruvian variety would grow in this area also? Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures!

I did not buy this plant. I found it in my yard after I purchase the house. I believe it will do very well in Washington. But I don't know too much about it. It does well in bright sun.

I'm going to check with our local nursery and see if this plant can be ordered. I like plants that are a little different and this one is just right! Thank you so much for sharing your picture and for answering my questions so quickly!
