Seashell Heart Door Hanger

7 Materials
We love seashells! They're so pretty - like little pearly and swirly treasures. So when we got back from our family trip to the beach, we decided to honor our beachcomber finds by making a seashell door hanger. In a heart shape of course!
We've done lots of crafts with seashells and have made a few great discoveries. For example, if you want all white shells, but you don't have all white shells, you can paint the shells! We chose a pearl finish paint to add more shine.
For this door hanger, we decided to do an organized edge of shells all facing the same way. Then we mixed it up inside with different shells overlapping each other. We just glued the shells to the wooden heart.
To finish the seashell heart, we added pearls and rhinestones. We have a little video on our blog showing how we handle and glue little rhinestones. We have some good tips and tricks.

To make our seashell heart into a door hanger, we put D-rings on the back and tied on a pretty ribbon. We love how it turned out!

If you have any questions about the Seashell Heart, just leave us a comment and we'll reply! We really love hearing from you.
