Salvaging old latex paint

I found a pint of old latex paint. When I opened it there was quite a bit of liquid on the top but the bottom was almost solid. I was able to break it up but not mix it in completely. Can I salvage the liquid portion by straining it?

Unfortunately this will not work...once the solids have been settled out the paint will not dry and perform properly. All of the binders resins and solvent need to work together as a "formulation" once a portion of this mix is removed by settling / drying etc. the overall results are problematic.

Thank you, KMS Woodworks. It was such a nice color, too.
