For years, red as be the favorite color choice for front doors. It just pops the front exterior. Trending in red front doors is to have the surrounding trim classical white or to paint the trim black or gray to make the door even more dramatic.

BLUE


Blue is fast becoming the go to color for front doors almost beating the popular red color choice. Aqua, peacock and mid-blue are currently the more popular shades of blue but navy is still a popular choice in some areas

  • Great question! There are a couple of options here. Without seeing a picture, the black door probably detracts from the red door. Am I correct? Painting the screen door red is an option but it might be too much. You can always try it and repaint it if you don't like it. One client's house I staged painted his door a beautiful blue color but had a white screen door. We removed the screen and the house looked alot better. I hope that helps!
