Fireplace Remodel - Paint & Stain

Something Neutral
by Something Neutral
Hello fireplace! Do you think it’s time to give your fireplace a little facelift? It’s amazing to find out what a little paint and stain can do. This fireplace update can be achieved with three different steps.
1 – Stain your mantel darker to get rid of the dated orange color.
2 – Spray paint the brass with Rust-Oleum Hi Heat Black Spray Paint.
3 – Water down a mixture of your wall and trim paint to white wash the bricks.

I'm echoing Ashley's question - what paint/stain product did you use, what brush type, did you dilute it? How long did you leave it on? How did you apply / take it off? Looks great! Thanks!
