Blue and White Folding Chair Makeover

Hi everyone! I'm back today with a fairly simple project, but one I have been wanting to do for a long time. I just kept putting it off. Ahem. Anyways, I am hosting a bridal shower in a couple of weeks , so now was the time!
I had these old brown folding chairs. They are definitely due for a update! I started by removing the back and the seat. They just had 4 or 5 screws each.
I took the chair frame outside and spray painted it with Rustoleum Spray Paint in white. It only took a couple of coats. Then I added a coat of Rustoleum clear varnish to help protect it.
While the chair was drying, I got my fabric out. I found this fabric at a yard sale this summer and knew it would be perfect for these chairs.
Using the chair back and seat, I laid it on the fabric and cut around it, about 2 inches away. This will give me enough fabric to wrap around the edge and staple.
I centered the chair back, right side down, on the fabric and wrapped the fabric to the back, being sure to leave enough on each side. I put in one or two staples on each side to hold the material in place and then add more staples all the way around. I did the same for the seat.
After both the chair back and the seat were covered, I replaced them on the chair frame, using the same screws that I took out. I think they turned out great!
Isn't it amazing what a little bit of paint and some fabric can do?
