It looks like a kind of smartweed or Ladysthumb. Definitely a weed. I have a ton of it, too. Last year, I noticed that we had what I think was Ladysthumb and our chickens liked to eat the seeds. Here are some links for you:
@S137 Thank you- Now to get rid of them
That one on the left. .. kinda looks like poke weed. It's a little hard to tell... but if it is, they make a Berry that I've heard are very poisonous.
the first one is a weed,the second one is a plant (keep)
@lawnpro the 2nd one grows as a ground cover
@lawnpro do you know the name of it?
@tammy thank you
First one is definitely pokeweed
#2 is a pain...it is killing my grass!!!!
This is what I know of as Poke... http://www.ppws.vt.edu/scott/weed_id/phtam.htm
Not sure what the first one is, but don't think it's Poke. I have seen it growing a lot.
The second is what we have always called Lady's Thumb...a wildflower/weed.
weed weed weed
neither is poke weed, both are weeds, pull 'em out or you will be sorry.
The first one climbs on everything in my yard and if not removed, chokes out good plants and they have puff-balls that insures their life, that surface in the fall. The second picture I stuggled with that question myself but I now know they are weeds. if they are growing in a field I'd let them be because of the pretty pink flowers but otherwise...get rid of them, they multiply very fast!
a plant that is a weed weed weed weed
The second picture is a very invasive plant. I got some and have been pulling it from my garden all year. It has the beautiful pink seed heads that bloom in fall, but it takes over everything!
I would never plant it again! and, I don't know the name.
I should have Googled " Ladysthumb " before I replied because that is IT!
