What To Do When Bambi and Friends Show up to Party.

After so much Front Yard activity these past months, I blogged this on the happenings in my front yard. Deer are hardy partiers and their many friends. The damage wreaked is becoming quite costly. I did use this method after the costly ones failed. So far ok.
Inexpensive bar of soap. I had Softsoap, but Ivory or a store brand would work well I think.
I wrapped chunks in a square of netting and secured with twist tie.

We save the slivers of soaps from our bath and sink, we use them to put in the crouch of the fruit trees to detour moths. Didn't notice deer activity or not with the soap will make a note to self.

@Pammy Good idea about the moths. Tuck that away in my notebook.

about 10 or so years ago, the deer ate our pine trees up as far as they could reach on their hind legs....I took soaps that we had collected while traveling from hotels and motels, and made a hole in the middle of the bar, put yarn thru the hole and tied them to the trees, and they left them alone for the rest of the winter. It works great.
